DAVY'S BULB

Although most people believe the light bulb was invented by Thomas Edison, the story starts almost seventy years earlier. In 1806 Humphrey Davy, produced an illuminating electric lamp that created light but for no more than a few minutes. Davy's Bulb can be illuminated when pressed on. It is strung on a 80cm long silver or gun black plated chain. (3cmx5cm)
